Ursus maritimus

Appearance
Polar bears are massive. With males ranging from 800 to 1,300 pounds, polar bears reign as the largest bear species on earth. Living in the frozen northern regions of North America and Russia, the polar bear’s signature white fur gives it a keen advantage.
Diet
Seal, in all its different subspecies, is the go-to meal for a polar bear. Relying on a diet rich in fat for survival, the polar bear prefers the ringed but will gladly take bearded seal or harbor seal as well.

Range
The Polar Bear resides primarily in the arctic circle, throughout Alaska, Canada, Russia, Norway, and Greenland.
